Position Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager Argentina and serving on the Argentina Leadership Team, the Business Unit Director – General Medicines is accountable for the overall performance and strategic direction of the Business Unit. The role drives sustainable growth, portfolio strategy, P&L performance, and organizational effectiveness by leading cross-functional execution, accelerating innovation, and delivering superior outcomes for patients and business.

Own the overall Business Unit strategy and P&L performance, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market leadership.
Define and execute portfolio strategies that maximize lifecycle value, customer impact, and long-term competitive advantage.
Lead and align cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, Medical, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver business objectives.
Drive strategic business planning, forecasting, resource allocation, investment decisions, and performance management to optimize business results.
Accelerate innovation through customer-centric strategies, omnichannel engagement, digital capabilities, and data-driven decision making.
Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Contribute as a trusted member of the Argentina Leadership Team by influencing enterprise-wide decisions, organizational transformation, and long-term business strategy.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related discipline.
Significant commercial leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including Business Unit, Franchise, Sales, Commercial Excellence or Marketing leadership.
Proven track record of delivering sustainable business growth, market share expansion, and strong financial performance.
Demonstrated experience leading multifunctional organizations in highly matrixed local, regional, and global environments.
Strong strategic, financial, and commercial acumen, including business planning, forecasting, and portfolio management.
Experience influencing senior executives and leading complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
Fluent Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus.
MBA or other advanced business or scientific degree.
Demonstrated success leading business transformation and organizational change initiatives.
Strong capability to influence regional and global stakeholders in complex matrix organizations.
Experience leading successful product launches, portfolio optimization, and lifecycle management strategies.
Recognized people leaders with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
Executive presence with the ability to balance long-term strategic vision and disciplined operational execution.
This role is based in Argentina and is hybrid, with an expectation to work from the office several days per week and travel within the country as needed.
