About the Role
Red Oak Leasing is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join our team and help build, maintain, and improve our software platform.
We’re looking for someone who is strong across both frontend and backend development and has a strong understanding of cybersecurity and secure software development.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, contribute to technical decisions, and play an important role in building a secure and scalable software platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software across the frontend and backend
- Build new features and improve existing functionality
- Design and develop secure APIs and backend services
- Work with databases and data structures
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and access controls
- Follow secure coding and software development practices
- Review code for security, performance, and reliability
- Help identify potential security risks before they become problems
- Maintain and improve application security
- Work with cloud infrastructure, deployments, and development environments
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Participate in technical planning and architecture decisions
- Take ownership of projects from development through deployment
Cybersecurity Experience
Strong cybersecurity knowledge is an important part of this position.
You should have a solid understanding of areas such as:
- Web application security
- API security
- Authentication and authorization
- Encryption and secure data handling
- SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other common vulnerabilities
- Secure API and database design
- Secrets and credential management
- Access controls and permissions
- Dependency and vulnerability management
- Security testing and vulnerability assessment
- Secure cloud infrastructure and deployment
- Logging, monitoring, and incident prevention
- OWASP security principles
We are looking for someone who understands how to build secure software from the ground up, not simply someone who has memorized cybersecurity terminology.
Qualifications
- Several years of professional full-stack software development experience
- Strong experience with both frontend and backend development
- Strong understanding of software architecture and development practices
- Strong cybersecurity and secure-development knowledge
- Experience building and working with APIs
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a remote team

Pay: $2,998,287.23 - $8,994,861.69 per month
