We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to help ensure quality across APIs, web UIs, and performance-sensitive systems.
In this role, you will develop and maintain automated test suites, contribute to performance testing in CI pipelines, and help align quality standards with business needs. You will work closely with engineering teams to apply testing practices across services and UI, using modern tools and AI-assisted approaches to support the delivery of reliable software.
Responsibilities
-
Develop and maintain automated test suites for APIs (sync and async) and web UI using TypeScript and modern E2E frameworks
-
Run and support performance tests within CI pipelines, reviewing results against application and infrastructure metrics
-
Compare load results with CPU, memory, saturation, queue depth, and latency metrics to help identify bottlenecks
-
Add and maintain automated tests in CI platforms, handling failing builds, artifacts, flaky tests, and quality gates
-
Contribute to testing across service boundaries, not only through UI scripts
-
Report defects clearly with expected vs actual results, supporting evidence, and severity aligned to business impact
-
Use AI-assisted tooling to speed up test creation and expand coverage
-
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
-
Help improve test reliability, execution speed, and maintainability of the automation suite
Requirements
-
Hands-on experience in software testing, including 2+ years of hands-on test automation and some practical exposure to performance testing
-
Solid skills in test automation for APIs and web UI using TypeScript and modern E2E frameworks (Playwright preferred), including sync and async APIs
-
Practical experience with performance testing, ideally within CI
-
Ability to compare load results with application and infrastructure metrics such as CPU, memory, saturation, queue depth, and latency
-
Experience writing and maintaining tests in CI systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar), including working with failing builds, artifacts, flaky tests, and quality gates
-
Ability to design tests based on service boundaries, not only UI flows
-
Skills in defect reporting with clear expected vs actual results, evidence, and severity aligned to business impact (e.g., recognizing the difference between a critical data issue and a minor UI glitch)
-
Hands-on experience creating tests with AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar) — AI Gen QA is a must
-
English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have
-
Experience with Grafana k6, including distributed load generators
-
Familiarity with Kubernetes-deployed systems
-
Basic knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus, or similar observability tools
-
Exposure to systems with spiky, deadline-driven load (tax, payroll, trading close, regulatory filing)
