As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of multiple teams, driving the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems that serve millions of customers. While we value experience with our tech stack, we are confident that engineers who are eager to learn will be successful here — and we will teach you Clojure as our main backend language.
You will architect, evolve, and govern:
High-throughput, horizontally scalable microservices written mostly in Clojure, leveraging functional programming paradigms and clean, hexagonal architectures at domain scale.
Organization-wide event-driven architectures and streaming pipelines using Kafka.
Enterprise-grade Continuous Integration and Deployment strategies on AWS.
Multi-region data storage strategies using Datomic, DynamoDB, and advanced persistence patterns.
Systemic observability, reliability, and resilience standards with Prometheus across critical paths.
Global containerized platforms running seamlessly on Kubernetes.

Extensive Experience: 8+ years of experience engineering complex digital products.
Domain-Scale Expertise: Mastery of distributed systems design, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and failure-mode analysis in systems handling high concurrency and millions of active users.
Multi-Paradigm Capability: Deep mastery of functional or object-oriented programming paradigms, with an aptitude for learning new technologies and advocating for clean code practices.
Leadership & Sponsorship: Experience mentoring engineers and shaping engineering culture, hiring criteria, and RFC/architecture review processes.
Business Acumen & Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs, risk profiles, and architectural decisions to leaders
