Join us at Ventura TRAVEL – a group of specialized travel brands that unleash the adventurer in every person!
Hey Future Ventura Teammate! Are you a developer who spots a repetitive, manual process and immediately thinks, "I could build an agent for that"?
Join our IT team as an AI Automation Specialist. Your initial focus will be supporting Finance & Legal by building reliable AI agents, integrations, and automations that improve their daily work. Over time, you may also contribute to other IT systems and automation projects across Ventura TRAVEL.
At Ventura TRAVEL, we believe in creating a supportive and engaging work environment. We are looking for someone who combines a solid software development foundation with practical AI experience, communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and brings a positive and collaborative spirit to the team.
- Build AI agents and automations that streamline finance work, from reconciliations to reporting and controls.
- Develop, test, and maintain software solutions using AI-assisted development, while following the IT team's engineering standards and Git workflow.
- Connect our systems and data sources through APIs and MCPs (think Datev, Payhawk, Data Studio, banks, and Google Drive).
- Design workflows that pull data from multiple sources, run the checks, and raise alerts or act when something needs attention.
- Work side by side with our finance team, translating what they need into technical solutions and explaining your choices in plain, non-jargon language.
- Help standardize and document our processes so they stay consistent and easy to maintain.
- Stay ahead of a fast-moving field, bringing new AI tools and ideas to the team as they emerge.
- Function independently and collaboratively, anticipating potential issues and acting proactively to address them.
- Communicate effectively, using the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) method.
- Proven experience building AI agents or automations that are actually in use, not just prototypes.
- Strong skills connecting systems and data sources via APIs, MCPs, or automation tools (e.g. n8n).
- Working coding ability and comfort navigating an existing codebase, using AI tools to go faster while verifying the output.
- Excellent communication with non-technical people, so you can turn a fuzzy request into a concrete plan and explain it simply.
- Genuine curiosity and a track record of quickly adopting new AI tools as the field evolves.
- Fluency in Spanish and solid English skills (B2 to C1).
- A fun-to-work-with attitude, honest, humble, and quick to admit mistakes.
- A security- and controls-minded approach when handling sensitive financial data.
- Hands-on experience with finance tools like Datev, Payhawk, or Google Data Studio.
- Experience working with or inside a finance/accounting team.
- Familiarity with automation platforms like n8n and building multi-agent or "virtual employee" style systems.
- Experience working in the travel industry.
- Freedom to be creative in achieving results.
- International & friendly working environment.
- Quarterly Social Days and Team Events.
- Work out of other offices in the Ventura network around the world.
- Opportunity to constantly learn and grow.
- We care about the well-being of our employees (regular O3, satisfaction surveys etc.)
- Yearly 2-week offsite.
- Participation in the overall company's profits.
