Launchpad Technologies Inc. is a global technology partner connecting top talent with high-impact projects across North America and beyond. We specialize in Staff Augmentation and product development, helping companies scale with agility while empowering professionals to grow in meaningful, remote-first environments.
We're looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join the team supporting a large, mature enterprise Salesforce environment. This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex platform challenges, writing high-quality code, and working within a heavily customized Salesforce ecosystem.
You'll spend most of your time developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components, while also supporting existing enterprise integrations and helping improve the stability and maintainability of the platform.
The environment has evolved significantly over the years, which means you'll work with both modern Salesforce development and existing legacy components. New development is focused on Apex and LWC, while existing Flows, Visualforce components, and integrations continue to be supported as the platform evolves.
If you are a strong Salesforce engineer who understands how to build secure, bulk-safe, scalable solutions, and you enjoy troubleshooting complex real-world systems, we'd love to hear from you.
Start date: September, 2026
️Contract type: Full-time / Contractor
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST
Work mode: 100% remote
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and platform-native automation.
- Build Apex classes, triggers, service layers, test classes, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and scheduled processes.
- Develop reusable Lightning Web Components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, LDS, wire adapters, and Apex controllers.
- Write efficient SOQL/SOSL queries and build solutions that respect Salesforce governor limits and bulk-processing requirements.
- Support and improve a mature, highly customized Salesforce Field Service environment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
- Work with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML payloads, OAuth, Named Credentials, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture where applicable.
- Configure and extend Salesforce declarative automation, including Flows, validation rules, custom metadata, custom settings, and approval-related logic.
- Make sound technical decisions about when to use declarative Salesforce capabilities versus custom Apex development.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce data models, security controls, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to reducing technical debt while maintaining platform stability.
- Create meaningful automated tests covering bulk scenarios, positive and negative paths, and release-readiness expectations.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, defect resolution, and production support.
- Support source-driven development, metadata deployments, sandbox strategies, and CI/CD practices.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for Salesforce components, integrations, releases, and operational support.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, ideally within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Apex, including triggers, service classes, test classes, asynchronous processing, bulkification, exception handling, and governor-limit-aware design.
- Strong hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components.
- Solid knowledge of SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce data modeling, and platform security.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce sharing models, role hierarchy, permission sets, profiles, and field-level security.
- Experience integrating and supporting Salesforce with external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience working with JSON/XML payloads, OAuth-based authentication, and secure endpoint configuration.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting existing integrations in complex production environments.
- Good understanding of Salesforce Flows and when declarative automation is preferable to custom code.
- Experience with source control, metadata deployments, sandbox strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, clean-code principles, unit testing, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in an established enterprise codebase.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate with architects, administrators, QA, integration teams, and product stakeholders.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II is a plus.
- Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or JavaScript Developer I certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Field Service.
- Experience with Boomi or other enterprise integration middleware.
- Experience with Apex Enterprise Patterns, domain/service layers, selector patterns, and reusable Salesforce architecture practices.
- Experience with Platform Events, Change Data Capture, External Services, Named Credentials, and External Credentials.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, unlocked packages, Metadata APIs, and modern source-driven development workflows.
- Experience with data migration, data quality, duplicate management, ETL tools, or large-volume Salesforce environments.
- A strong software-development foundation outside Salesforce, particularly with object-oriented languages such as Java.
You'll succeed in this role by producing Salesforce code that is secure, bulk-safe, testable, reliable, and easy to maintain.
You won't be expected to redefine the entire Salesforce architecture or lead a development team. Instead, you'll bring deep technical expertise to complex development work, make sound engineering decisions, improve platform stability, and collaborate effectively with the architects and teams around you.
You'll know when Apex is the right solution, when Salesforce Flow is enough, and how changes may impact users, data, integrations, releases, and production support.
Above all, you'll bring strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, ownership, and the ability to navigate a mature enterprise Salesforce environment with confidence.
