The Legal eBilling Operations Analyst supports the day-to-day execution of electronic billing (eBilling) processes for legal services suppliers. This role is responsible for administering matter, invoice, budget, accrual, and supplier management activities within the TyMetrix 3600 platform while ensuring compliance with billing guidelines, legal operations procedures, and financial controls. The analyst serves as a point of contact for legal professionals, finance teams, and external legal suppliers regarding billing inquiries, invoice processing, and eBilling system support.

Administer timekeeper rate management processes within the eBilling platform.

Create and maintain legal matters and associated budgets, including execution of budget approval workflows.

Support Alternative Fee Arrangement (AFA) administration, including:

Blended hourly rates

Deal-based billing

Fee caps
-
Hourly rate discounts

Volume-based discounts
-
Matter-based rates
-
Task-based billing caps

Manage accrual processes by tracking unbilled fees and expenses for legal matters.

Review and apply legal billing requirements, including:

LEDES billing standards

UTBMS coding requirements

Internal billing policies and procedures

Research and resolve invoice-related inquiries through system analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Generate reports and maintain spreadsheets to support invoice validation, accrual tracking, and operational analysis.

Communicate directly with attorneys, legal professionals, and external suppliers regarding invoice status, billing questions, and issue resolution.

Provide user support and training on eBilling systems and related processes.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal operations, finance, and procurement requirements.

Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and technology teams to support billing operations.
