We are seeking detail-oriented Freelance AI Audio Annotators based in Argentina for a current AI data project focused on improving speech and language technology.
In this project, you will listen to short US- English language audio recordings and create accurate transcripts and structured annotations. Your work will contribute to high-quality training data used to improve AI systems' ability to process and understand natural speech.
This is a remote, freelance independent contractor opportunity. Project workload may vary based on available task volume.
What You'll Do
- Listen to short voice recordings and create accurate, as-spoken transcripts.
- Produce transcripts in lowercase and without punctuation, in line with project guidelines.
- Label speaker characteristics and relevant speech attributes.
- Identify and tag acoustic and speech events, including:
- Background noise
- Crosstalk
- Whispered speech
- Filled pauses such as "um" and "uh"
- Other relevant speech and audio phenomena
- Review audio quality and determine whether recordings meet project requirements or should be discarded.
- Follow detailed annotation guidelines accurately and consistently.
- Maintain required quality standards across completed tasks.
What We're Looking For
- English proficiency at C1 level or higher, with strong listening comprehension.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately distinguish spoken words and speech characteristics.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions consistently.
- Comfortable completing repetitive, detail-focused tasks requiring sustained concentration.
- Ability to work independently and manage project workload effectively.
- Reliable computer, quality headphones/headset and stable high-speed internet connection.
Qualification
Applicants who progress will be required to complete a project qualification assessment before receiving access to live project tasks.
The assessment will be used to confirm your ability to accurately transcribe and annotate audio according to the project's guidelines and quality requirements.
Successful completion of the qualification is required before project work can begin.
This opportunity is offered on a freelance independent contractor basis and is not an employment position.
Task availability may fluctuate based on project requirements, and weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Payment - $15.00 USD Per Hour
