We are seeking a Lead SRE Engineer to build and run an Azure-based API management platform using infrastructure as code and robust CI/CD practices. You will own hands-on delivery across Microsoft APIM and related platforms, partnering with teammates in the EST time zone to support several initiatives at once—apply now.
Responsibilities

Architect, implement and maintain API management solutions, with Microsoft APIM as the primary platform

Build and administer Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible

Improve and operate CI/CD pipelines, primarily through Jenkins and Azure DevOps

Partner with a cross-functional team to diagnose and fix platform reliability issues

Advise on API management approaches drawing on experience with multiple API management platforms

Balance work across multiple projects while adjusting to changing priorities and limited resources

Deliver senior-level, hands-on engineering contributions to ongoing initiatives
Requirements

Proven track record with 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or comparable DevOps roles

Strong background in API management platforms such as Microsoft APIM, Tyke or Kong

Extensive hands-on expertise in Terraform, Ansible and Azure cloud environments

Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Azure DevOps

Demonstrated ability to work independently while juggling multiple projects in parallel

Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility when priorities shift

English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
Nice to have

Experience working with more than one API management platform such as Tyke or Kong

Familiarity with other cloud providers or hybrid cloud setups

Knowledge across a wider DevOps toolset
