About the role
The IT Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis across run and change. The role builds/maintains operating and project budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), executes monthly close activities (accruals, reclasses, reconciliations), and produces variance analyses with actionable insights.
The IT Financial Analyst partners with PMs on forecasting, burn rate tracking, capitalization rules, and benefits measurement; supports procurement decisions with comparative TCO modeling; and maintains a robust control environment through documentation, approvals, and audit support.
The analyst publishes dashboards that highlight risks, opportunities, and trend signals for leadership, and contributes to the continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy, reporting consistency, and procurement cycle time.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all SOWs include clearly defined deliverables, milestones, legal address and payment schedules.
- Facilitate internal review and approval workflows, including Legal, Finance, Procurement, and IT leadership approvals prior to execution.
- Coordinate the execution of SOWs and ensure all supporting documents and approvals are properly maintained in the contract repository adn dashboard.
- Manage SOW amendments and change requests, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget impacts are properly documented and approved.
- Track SOW-related expenditures and reconcile invoicing against approved milestones, deliverables, and purchase orders.
- Provide regular reporting to IT leadership on active SOWs, upcoming renewals, project status, and potential risks or budget impacts.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and internal governance standards throughout the SOW lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- Financial modeling, forecasting, and variance/root‑cause analysis
- Understanding of capitalization, amortization, and project accounting
- Data hygiene/controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness
- Strong Excel/BI and dashboard storytelling skills
- Collaboration with PMs, vendors, Finance and Procurement
- Financial Acumen and understanding of IFRS/GAAP fundamentals
- Clear, concise executive communications and documentation
- Continuous improvement mindset and ownership
