We're looking for an independent, self-sufficient Lead Database Administrator who can collaborate effectively with outside vendors and application teams, taking full ownership of database stability, performance, availability, and security throughout enterprise environments. Oracle 19c serves as the main database platform, and the role also involves supporting and managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments. The ideal candidate will join an existing 24x7 on-call rotation and act as a senior escalation contact for production incidents.
Responsibilities

Administer and support Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database environments

Maintain database stability, performance, availability, and security across enterprise systems

Collaborate with external vendors, managed service providers, and offshore support teams

Take part in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule

Deliver after-hours support during critical incidents, maintenance work, and production releases

Act as a senior escalation contact for database outages and performance problems

Maintain compliance with established SLA and operational support obligations

Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues

Work collaboratively with application teams
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in enterprise Database Administration

Deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration, including significant hands-on work with Oracle Database 19c
-
Solid background in Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard

Solid background in RMAN, Performance Tuning, and SQL and PL/SQL
-
Direct administration experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Strong background in Linux/Unix administration

Experience with large-scale, mission-critical production systems

Demonstrated capability to work autonomously with little oversight

Track record of collaborating with external vendors, managed service providers, and offshore support teams

Strong skills in troubleshooting and identifying root causes

Effective written and verbal communication abilities

English proficiency at a B2 level or above
