This role is part of Accenture Research’s Economics of AI center of excellence.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in economic analysis as well as in data-based applied economics, relying on advanced econometrics.
The candidate will be working closely with other teams of economists, data scientists, market researchers, and industry experts to guarantee a successful collaboration between data-driven outputs and storytelling deliverables.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Frame economic research problems at the intersection of economics, business, and technology.
- Conduct quantitative economic research to support client engagements, thought leadership, and internal strategic initiatives around technology transformation, AI adoption, firm productivity, enterprise reinvention, and the future of work.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets, ensuring methodological accuracy and reproducibility.
- Analyze large datasets using advanced statistical and econometric techniques to assess relationships between variables and predict outcomes.
- Develop and maintain economic models, forecasts, simulations, and analytical frameworks to assess industry and firm level trends and generate data-based insights.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of research methodologies, data pipelines, and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate economic analysis into broader business, strategy, and transformation projects.
Experience and skills:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate research questions, evaluate evidence, and develop robust conclusions.
- Strong knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economics, with the ability to apply economic theory to business problems.
- Proven experience in advanced econometrics (cross-section, time-series, panel, forecasting), causal inference, and statistical machine learning (e.g. tree ensembles).
- Ability to make sense out of different data types (unstructured, vendor, high frequency, text based, survey based)
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience in writing reusable code and datasets
- Experience in dataset manipulation (e.g. SQL)
- Experience using generative AI to address research questions
- Experience setting up structural and formal models to model agents’ behavior and microeconomic foundations
- Strong interest in the economic research agenda as well as in global business themes such as technology innovation and disruption
- Strategic problem solver
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong professional qualities: client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience to stress against stretch goals and deadlines

Additional Information
Reports to: Economic Research Senior Principal
Qualifications: BA in Economics required. Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative discipline is a plus.
Work Experience:
- 4+ years of relevant economic research experience
- Global / large private corporation or institution, research think tank, or recognized research government agency
