About the Role
This role is a central function within Operations, dedicated to optimizing the Uber Rides marketplace across Latin America (LatAm) - specifically focused on the Pricing for Daily (P4D) priority. P4D is our framework for ensuring that pricing tools, incentive design, and trip-frequency strategies work together to deliver 4-wheels Trip per Rider (4W TpR) growth across LatAm markets.
As the P4D Strategy & Analytics Lead, you will be the single owner of the P4D performance program across LatAm. You will define and maintain the governance model that connects Central Ops strategy to local execution, own the analytical infrastructure that surfaces where and why we are on or off track, and drive cross-functional alignment across Ops, Product, and Finance to close gaps. This is a senior IC role - you will lead without formal authority, operating as the strategic center of gravity for a program that spans 7+ markets and multiple tool teams.
This role requires someone who can move fluidly between structuring ambiguous business problems, building scalable analytical systems, and presenting performance narratives to senior leadership. If you are energized by owning a program from first principles and driving outcomes across a complex, matrixed organization, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
P4D Strategy & Governance (20%)-
Own the end-to-end governance model for the P4D priority, including the monthly P4D Forum with local ops teams and PHero owners, and the quarterly Strategy Execution Forum
-
Define the analytical storyline for each hero market (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru), translating funnel data into clear performance narratives and escalation paths
-
Continuously raise the bar on scorecard quality - proactively embedding root-cause automation and "5-whys" diagnostic frameworks into governance material.
-
Advise Central Ops and local leadership on monthly 4W TpR trajectory and course-correction levers
4W TpR Funnel Monitoring & Alerting (40%)-
Own LatAm's 4W TpR monitoring infrastructure - dashboards, alert systems, and early-warning signals - ensuring markets that are off track are surfaced proactively throughout the month
Identify and size conversion gaps across the full funnel (Sessions Requests/Session Conversions Active Riders- TpR), and drive diagnosis to actionable recommendations
-
Develop scalable, automated monitoring rails that reduce manual overhead and increase the speed-to-insight for the ops teams using this data
Technical Support for Pricing Tools - RSP & Sapphire (40%)-
Act as the primary analytical partner for the RSP and Sapphire tool owners, designing and executing deep-dive performance analyses, experiment readouts, and launch evaluations
-
Build automation projects that convert one-off analytical work into reusable tools - leveraging Python, uWorc, Streamlit, and internal data infrastructure
-
Own the alert system for key functional metrics of RSP and Sapphire (BvAs, Objective Function configurations, product-level configurations), ensuring all cities operate within expected parameters
What You'll Need-
Experience: 5+ years in strategy, operations, analytics, or S&P functions - ideally within a marketplace, pricing, or growth context
-
Strategic Ownership: Demonstrated ability to own a complex program end-to-end, from defining success metrics to driving accountability across multiple stakeholders without formal authority
-
Analytical Depth: Strong quantitative skills; comfortable getting into the weeds of large datasets while maintaining a clear view of the business story. Experience with SQL, Python, or equivalent tools required
-
Problem Structuring: Ability to take ambiguous, multi-variable business problems and bring structure - decomposing them into hypotheses, designing the right analyses, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations
-
Communication: English and [Portuguese or Spanish] proficiency. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level narratives for monthly business reviews, leadership forums, and strategy documents
-
Stakeholder Management: Track record of driving cross-functional alignment across Ops, Product, Finance, and local teams in a matrixed environment
-
Executional Excellence: Able to manage multiple workstreams in parallel in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining high output quality
-
Planning & Organization: Skilled at defining governance cadences, project milestones, interdependencies, and accountability structures across a multi-market program
-
