We are seeking a curious, experienced Senior Node.js Engineer to help design and build our next-generation platform. You will lead the development of resilient, cloud-native microservices in Node.js/TypeScript, contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and availability, and mentor other engineers. Experience or a strong interest in platform engineering and AI agents is a major plus as we pursue this year’s strategic objectives.
This is you
5+ years of hands-on Node.js and TypeScript development, demonstrating senior-level ownership;
3+ years with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Serverless Framework, SAM, or equivalent);
5+ years with SQL and NoSQL databases; able to design data models and optimize queries for performance and scale;
Proven track record in building and operating microservices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and deployments;
Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end, drive improvements independently, and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences;
Native Spanish; intermediate English.
Nice-to-have skills:
Background or strong interest in platform engineering, AI agents/conversational systems, or model/agent orchestration tooling;
Hands-on with EKS/Kubernetes and advanced IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Serverless Framework patterns);
Skilled in profiling, load testing, performance optimization of distributed systems, and cloud security practices;
Open-source contributions or technical leadership in developer communities.
This is your role
Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality Node.js/TypeScript microservices;
Build and optimize AWS services for performance, cost-efficiency, and availability;
Lead architecture discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and influence technical roadmap;
Own features from design through deployment, monitoring, and incident response;
Promote Clean Code, automated testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, and define monitoring, alerting, and SLOs;
Review code, mentor engineers, and drive improvements in performance, security, and processes;
Translate technical decisions into clear business impact for stakeholders.
