We are seeking a specialized Senior Database Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our on-premises infrastructure.
In this role, you will oversee critical PostgreSQL and EnterpriseDB (EDB) Postgres Advanced Server environments, ensuring high availability and seamless migrations. You will play a key part in maintaining data compliance and maximizing uptime within a secure physical and virtual setup.
Responsibilities

Administer and maintain on-premises PostgreSQL and EDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) clusters

Optimize database performance by tuning slow queries and adjusting parameters using EDB Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM)

Ensure high availability by managing failover, replication, and disaster recovery systems with EDB tools

Enforce security measures, including applying database patches, managing access controls, and implementing encryption protocols in the on-prem environment

Support migration activities by maintaining and developing Oracle-compatible PL/SQL objects for legacy system integration
Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in database administration with extensive production expertise in PostgreSQL and EDB

Proven ability to manage databases on-premises, including bare metal, VMware, or private cloud platforms

Advanced proficiency with EDB Failover Manager (EFM), Backup and Recovery Tool (BART), and EDB Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM)

Strong command of SQL, PL/pgSQL, and Oracle compatibility features such as PL/SQL

Skilled in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and optimizing storage performance

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English at B2+ level or higher
