We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to build mobile applications used by tens of millions of cardholders worldwide.
We want someone with strong technical skills and creativity; someone who enjoys solving tough problems and working with innovative technologies. This person should not be shy about sharing their ideas and be obsessive about user experience and beautiful code.
You will be working in a fast-paced small-team environment with the stability of working as part of a Fortune 100 company. Your primary responsibility will be to work on a small team of designers, product owners, QA, and engineers developing and improving features.
Responsibilities

Build Android applications

Write and delete code, while dealing with legacy code

Utilize build tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI

Apply Continuous Integration patterns and asynchronous coding patterns

Find and fix bugs, perform performance analysis and optimization

Develop unit and integration tests

Contribute to open source

Collaborate within a globally distributed team, demonstrating self-starting behavior and strong time management

Integrate with bespoke, lovingly hand-crafted backend services from the days of yore

Design solutions for open-ended problems
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in Android development

Proficiency in Kotlin

Expertise in build tools such as Gradle and CircleCI

Background in Continuous Integration patterns and asynchronous coding

Skills in performance analysis, optimization, and working with legacy code

Understanding of unit and integration testing

Capability to work in a globally distributed team with strong self-management and time management skills

Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have

Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, MVI Architecture pattern, and Kotlin Coroutines

Knowledge of Dagger, OkHttp, and REST APIs

Competency in Espresso, JUnit, and WireMock
