Most client success roles are a ticket queue with a nicer title. This one is not.
TaskBlink runs AI-powered SMS outreach for small B2B service businesses across the US and Canada - marketing agencies, business brokers, web designers, AI Automation Agencies, business consultants. We text their ideal customers, our AI handles the replies, and booked appointments land on their calendar.
We are hiring one person to own whether roughly 70 of those clients succeed or leave. Not to respond to them. To own the outcome.
You will have the authority to change anything that affects it, a budget you can spend without asking, and a written path from $2,500 to $4,500 USD per month with the thresholds spelled out in your offer letter.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Every morning you open a dashboard that ranks all ~70 clients worst-first and tells you what is wrong with each one. You work that list until it is clean.
A client is not getting appointments. Is the campaign even sending? Is the targeting wrong? Is the message copy off? Is the calendar broken? Is the AI mishandling replies? Or is the client simply not calling the leads we already delivered? All five look identical from the outside and every one needs a different fix. Finding out which, fast, is the job.
Then you fix it yourself. You go into the campaign and change the targeting, rewrite the offer copy, adjust send volume, pull fresh contacts, retrain the AI, test the booking calendar. You do not file a ticket and wait for someone else.
You also:
- Catch problems before clients raise them.
- Spend real money on your own judgment. Refunds, credits, plan changes, pauses. Inside clear written limits you decide, act, and log it afterward. No permission required for anything the guidelines already cover.
- Hold the rest of the team to it, including the founder. If someone's work is damaging a client's results, saying so directly is part of your role, not overstepping it.
- Coach clients on closing. We deliver the appointment. Whether they convert it is often the difference between a client who stays two months and one who stays a year.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT
We care more about how you think than what is on your resume.
- You reason with numbers. Not math, judgment. If a campaign sent 4,000 messages and produced 2 appointments, your instinct should be to ask what normal looks like before deciding whether that is bad.
- You write clearly and you will have the hard conversation. Most client contact is text, so writing carries real weight. But when an account is about to cancel, you pick up the phone that day.
- You move without being told. The failure mode in this role is seeing a problem and waiting for someone to hand you a decision.
- You can be told you are wrong and come back sharper the next day. This is what we screen hardest for, and it is the single best predictor of who does well here.
If you have run client success, account management, or marketing operations before, that experience will compound quickly here. If you have not, and the four things above describe you, apply anyway - the screen at the bottom is what decides it.
This is not a fit if you want a support or chat-agent role, if you need a script for every situation, or if you are fitting this around something else. This is full-time, not part-time, no exceptions.
THE ONE HARD REQUIREMENT
You work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.
Our entire operating week is built around Monday campaign launches and Thursday preparation. This is the specific gap we are hiring to close, so there is no flexibility on it. Please do not apply if you cannot reliably cover those hours.
PAY AND THE PATH
$2,100 USD base per month plus performance pay. $2,500 USD per month on target in year one.
You are paid in US dollars, on the same date every month. Performance pay is monthly rather than annual, and every component is tied to something you personally control. Nothing in your first three months depends on a number outside your hands.
Each step below is written into your offer letter with its threshold attached, so you always know exactly what the next raise requires:
- Start: $2,100 base, $2,500 per month on target
- Certified Operator, month 7: $2,550 base, $3,000 per month on target
- Operator, month 13: $3,200 base, $3,750 per month on target
- Senior Operator, month 18: $3,850 base, $4,500 per month on target
The month 7 step is deliberately reachable and it is worth a 20 percent raise. It is gated entirely on things inside your control: did new clients get verified live on time, did every cancellation get a coded reason, did every failed payment get a human within 24 hours, did the refund rate come down.
You also get a one-time equipment budget when you start, so you are set up properly rather than working around whatever you already own.
What you take with you regardless of what happens next: Stripe cohort analysis, unit economics, GoHighLevel at real operator depth, and retention operations run against a live P&L. That combination is rare, portable, and most people never get near it.
HOW YOU WILL BE SET UP
Two weeks of structured onboarding run by the founder directly. Not shadowing. Drills, with your work scored.
You will diagnose real client accounts before being shown the answer. You will work through real subscriptions that already cancelled and reconstruct why. You will practice money decisions against scenarios with wrong answers built into them.
Behind that sits a 92-lesson operating manual written specifically for this role, a fix library with 171 documented solutions, and a dashboard that hands you the diagnosis instead of making you hunt for it. Most companies give you a login and wish you luck. You will be given a system.
At the end of week two there is a certification test, and it is possible to fail it. We mention that because the people who do well here want to know the bar is real.
