Responsibilities

Define and evolve the technical vision and architecture for native iOS applications in Swift, making decisions that guide long-term platform direction

Set and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns across the iOS codebase and the broader mobile organization

Plan and drive the iOS technical roadmap, balancing product needs, technical debt, scalability, and innovation

Collaborate with product designers to deliver responsive, pixel-perfect, highly interactive UI aligned with Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) while guiding feasibility and platform-capability discussions

Design resilient integrations with backend services and RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support smooth, dynamic user experiences

Maintain a high bar for quality by writing clean, modular, maintainable code, leading code reviews, and ensuring consistency across the codebase

Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and UI tests with XCTest, and continuously optimize performance, memory, and battery usage using Instruments

Own the end-to-end release lifecycle, including build processes, certificates and provisioning, and App Store Connect submissions

Lead and mentor iOS engineers across senior, mid-level, and junior levels by coaching, running technical interviews, and fostering a high-performing engineering culture

Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and engineering leadership to shape product roadmaps, drive technical innovation, and align mobile strategy with business goals
Requirements

Hands-on background with 7+ years of native iOS application development

Leadership experience with 2+ years driving teams and technical initiatives on production-grade apps

Expert-level proficiency in Swift plus deep mastery of the iOS SDK and Apple developer tools (Xcode, Instruments)

Proven expertise in modern iOS architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture, Combine, and Swift Concurrency), including defining architecture at scale and explaining tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences

Strong practical skills with SwiftUI (preferred) and UIKit (Auto Layout, Storyboards/XIBs)

Demonstrated success owning CI/CD pipelines for iOS (e.g., Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, Bitrise) and managing the full release lifecycle via App Store Connect

Advanced Git knowledge and experience leading collaborative workflows across distributed teams

Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers, shaping technical strategy, and delivering complex initiatives in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools like Jira
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value

Meaningful involvement in hiring, performance reviews, and team growth is a strong plus
