Marketing Manager Games
We are a Japanese Video Games Publisher and are looking for a strategic, hands-on Marketing Manager with a strong passion for video games. This role owns the planning, execution, and performance of marketing campaigns across social, influencers, PR, and events. You’ll combine creative thinking with data-driven execution to grow our games, brands, and player communities.
What You’ll Do
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies for video game titles, aligned with company goals
- Plan campaign roadmaps, manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across all marketing initiatives.
- Lead marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, influencer, and online and offline events, from planning through execution.
- Plan, manage, and execute online and offline events (exhibitions, showcases, conventions, launches, community events).
- Support localization by reviewing and improving translated marketing and in-game content
- Present titles and marketing plans to internal teams, partners, and media
- Provide local market insights and research to inform global strategy
- Continuously optimize marketing strategies based on performance data, market trends, and player behavior.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns on time and within budget.
Social Media, Community & Content
- Develop and execute social media strategies to grow followers, engagement, and visibility across key platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Discord, etc.).
- Define and refine platform-specific strategies using analytics, performance trends, and audience behavior.
- Plan and create short-form and long-form content, including posts, videos, articles, and editorial features
- Use performance data to inform content planning, posting schedules, and long-term growth strategies.
- Engage with communities and support long-term player relationships
Influencer, PR & Partnerships
- Identify, manage, and execute influencer and content creator campaigns (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)
- Support public and media relations efforts (online and print)
- Manage relationships with platform holders (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft), licensors, agencies, and partners
- Coordinate cross-media and IP collaborations (e.g. manga, anime, brand tie-ins)
Reporting & Analysis
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance across all channels
- Turn insights into clear recommendations to improve ROI and campaign effectiveness
- Provide regular reports and post-campaign evaluations to internal stakeholders
What You Bring
- Native or business-level English
- Hands-on experience planning and executing marketing campaigns. (gaming industry preferred)
- Deep understanding of video game culture, platforms, and player communities
- Experience across social media, influencer marketing, PR, and digital campaigns
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate analytics into action
- Creative eye for branding, content, and campaign execution
- Excellent organization, time management, and cross-team communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience writing English copy for PR, social, and brand communications
- Background in SEO, content marketing, blogging, or editorial planning.
- Ownership of various gaming hardware (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Nintendo Switch, Gaming PC)
Opportunity to relocate:
- We are offering the opportunity for you to relocate and work at our HQ in Tokyo, Japan after a certain period of time and depending on work performance. (Support with visa application etc.)

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $700,000.00 - $2,000,000.00 per month
