As a key member of Western Union’s Product Management team based in Buenos Aires (CABA), this role plays a critical part in driving the development, evolution, and performance of products and services across the Pago Fácil and Western Union ecosystem. The position is responsible for supporting product strategy, identifying new business opportunities, managing the product lifecycle, and delivering commercial initiatives that enhance customer experience, transaction growth, and business profitability. Working cross-functionally with commercial, technology, operations, compliance, and marketing teams, the Assistant Manager will help bring innovative products and services to market while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
Drive the definition and execution of product strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives aligned with business objectives, market opportunities, and customer needs.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including product development, enhancements, launches, commercialization activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
Identify growth opportunities through customer, market, industry, and competitive analysis, developing business cases, value propositions, pricing strategies, and recommendations to drive revenue growth.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, CRM, and Commercial teams to deliver product enhancements, go-to-market initiatives, and strategic projects.
Monitor product adoption, customer experience, operational performance, and financial results, providing recommendations to optimize outcomes and support profitability objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
2+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, Business Development, Strategy, or related commercial roles supporting product strategy and roadmap execution, with knowledge of product lifecycle management, pricing strategies, customer value proposition development, and go-to-market execution.
Ability to analyze customer, market, and competitive insights, translate findings into actionable product recommendations, and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop business cases, support product launches, execute go-to-market initiatives, analyze product financial performance, including P&L considerations, and monitor results through key metrics and KPIs.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and Compliance functions. Experience within financial services, payments, fintech, or related industries is a plus.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across Technology, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and Compliance functions in financial services, payments, fintech, or related industries.
Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and API-based integrations is desirable.
