SEO Specialist (Contract, Full-Time, Remote)
Salary: $1000 - $1500 USD per month
Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on SEO specialist to join a growing agency working across finance, SaaS, and tech clients.
This is not a narrow role. You’ll be responsible for the full SEO process - from strategy through to execution - across multiple client accounts.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, but more importantly, actually get things done.
You’ll be working closely with the founder and will play a key role in improving client performance and scaling the agency.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be managing SEO across multiple client accounts, owning both strategy and execution.
This includes:
- Running technical, on-page, and content audits to identify opportunities and issues
- Conducting keyword research, clustering, and search intent mapping
- Creating content briefs and writing/optimising content where needed
- Implementing on-page SEO improvements (titles, internal linking, structure, etc.)
- Identifying and resolving technical SEO issues (indexing, crawlability, site structure)
- Performing competitor analysis to find gaps and opportunities
- Supporting backlink strategies (research, outreach support, link opportunities)
- Building and improving internal linking structures
- Monitoring performance via GA4, GSC, and SEO tools and reporting on results
- Spotting new opportunities, trends, and quick wins across accounts
This is an execution-heavy role - you won’t just be making recommendations, you’ll be implementing them.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience in SEO (agency) (will consider in-house if experience is over 3 years)
- Strong understanding of technical, content, and off-page SEO
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
- Experience with tools such as:
- Screaming Frog
- Ahrefs / SEMrush
- SurferSEO (or similar content tools)
- Google Analytics (GA4) & Google Search Console
- Confident working independently and prioritising your own workload
- Strong written English (client-ready communication)
- Reliable and consistent internet connection is essential
- Must have a backup solution in place (e.g. generator, mobile hotspot, etc.)
- Fluent English (professional level) is essential
Nice to Have
- Experience in finance, SaaS, or YMYL industries
- Experience with digital PR / link building outreach
- Familiarity with Shopify or eCommerce SEO
- Interest or experience in automation (e.g. n8n, APIs, AI workflows)
