EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Data Viz Senior Consultant
As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the help of data and technology. We dive deep into data to extract the greatest value and discover opportunities in sectors like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Government Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Data Visualization Developer expert with experience and strong technology and data understanding of Enterprise data ecosystem and its data model. Candidate should be proficient in defining strategy to ensure adherence to related policy and standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.
Your key responsibilities
Power BI / Tableau developer; data analyst with Engineer mindset who can work with the client to gather requirements
Participate in Solutioning team to partner with client in work efforts, provide data management experience, including an understanding of concepts, practices, procedures, and tools providing strong analytical, innovative and creative problem-solving to the Customer needs.
Work in a blended team with business and technical resources, responding to requirements with concrete designs and implementing those designs.
Participate in training and workshop sessions for business and technology partners covering enterprise data governance, Data management, Metadata management, Data quality, standards, guidelines, and processes.
Provide guidance on data entry protocols to upstream system owners as it relates to impacts to downstream data consumers.
Skills and attributes for success
Should have managed & Delivered large Scale Enterprise Data projects.
Strong understanding of data structures/models
Advance SQL
Advance Phyton
Experience in Data Visualization tools Power BI, Tableau
Extract, transform, Load, data clean up and normalization experience
Multicultural projects experience
Well versed with Data wrangling, dashboards and storytelling
Ability to analyse and interpret trends/patterns in complex data sets
Ability to investigate existing data sets to initiate analysis and outline limitations
Strong Consulting skills:
Ability to communicate with Engineering teams who own data sets
Ability to independently manage own workload within multiple stakeholders
Strong project management skills (ability to prioritize, manage expectations, provide status, proactive communication, managing action items / burndown lists / backlog with Engineering teams, etc)
To qualify for the role, you must:
Be an Engineering graduate or equivalent with 4+ years of industry experience.
Must have 4+ years of Senior BI developer experience with cloud experience (Power BI, Tableau) and background in SQL and Phyton
Advance SQL
Cube knowledge and DAX programming
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems at scale.
Candidate must be comfortable working independently as there aren’t defined requirements currently
Have a flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences including senior executives, business, architecture governance bodies and IT delivery Ability to work globally and across cultures
Participate in all aspects of Data solution delivery life cycle including pre-studies, analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support.
