Our team: Our Sales team in Argentina is part of Pearson’s English Language Learning business across Central and South America. We work closely with schools, language institutions, universities, distributors, and internal specialists to bring Pearson’s books, platforms, and services closer to educators and learners. This is a relationship-driven market, where meaningful conversations with teachers, coordinators, and academic leaders make a real difference.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Sales Specialist to join our team in Mendoza, Argentina. This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys being close to customers, building trust with educators, and connecting academic needs with the right English Language Teaching solutions. You will play an important role in generating demand, supporting our distributor model, and creating a strong customer experience across your territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusted relationships with schools, language institutions, universities, teachers, coordinators, directors, and other key stakeholders across the assigned territory.
Present Pearson’s English Language Teaching books, digital platforms, and services in a consultative and customer-focused way.
Generate demand for Pearson’s distributors by identifying opportunities, influencing adoption, and supporting customers in choosing the right learning solutions.
Plan and conduct regular customer visits, ensuring strong preparation, follow-up, and customer service after each interaction.
Keep customer, visit, opportunity, and pipeline information updated in Salesforce.
Collaborate with internal teams and distributors to support customer needs and business objectives.
Travel frequently, initially across Mendoza, San Juan, and San Luis, to visit customers and represent Pearson in the market, with the potential to expand the customer portfolio across Argentina and the broader Southern Cone region.
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Language Teaching, Translation, English Language, or a related field.
Residence in Mendoza, Argentina is required.
Strong English communication skills and a solid understanding of English Language Teaching, including classroom needs, methodologies, and conversations with educators.
Experience as an English teacher, translator, ELT professional, academic consultant, or in a similar education-focused role is required. Previous sales or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
A customer-centric and commercially curious mindset, with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and follow through with care and ownership.
Strong planning, organization, communication, presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in Mendoza while staying connected with a wider regional team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory. Driver’s license and/or access to a car is desirable, but not mandatory.
