We are seeking a self-sufficient Lead Database Administrator to operate independently, partner effectively with external vendors and application teams, and take ownership of database stability, performance, availability, and security across enterprise environments. The primary database platform is Oracle 19c, with responsibility for supporting and administering PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments. The successful candidate will participate in an established 24x7 on-call support model and serve as a senior escalation point for production incidents.
Responsibilities

Administer and support Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database environments

Ensure database stability, performance, availability, and security across enterprise systems

Partner with external vendors, managed service providers, and offshore support teams

Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support model

Provide after-hours support for critical incidents, maintenance activities, and production releases

Serve as a senior escalation point for database-related outages and performance issues

Ensure adherence to established SLA and operational support commitments

Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for production issues

Requirements
-
5+ years of enterprise Database Administration experience

Expertise in Oracle Database Administration, with extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c

Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard

Strong experience with RMAN, Performance Tuning, and SQL and PL/SQL

Hands-on administration experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Strong Linux/Unix administration experience

Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical production systems

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience partnering with external vendors, managed service providers, and offshore support teams

Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

English proficiency at B2 level or higher
