Responsibilities

Design and construct backend services that meet defined performance, scalability, and reliability benchmarks

Contribute to architectural discussions that shape the future direction of our systems

Partner with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into workable technical solutions

Write clean, maintainable, and rigorously tested code across the services you create

Conduct code reviews for teammates to help maintain consistent quality and standards
-
Diagnose and resolve intricate issues that affect application performance and stability
-
Contribute to the successful deployment and ongoing operational health of cloud-based applications
-
Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and workflows
-
Engage in planning sessions to define scope and estimate effort for upcoming initiatives

Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams

Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID and clean architecture
-
Proven track record building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services
-
Solid Python backend experience, including core Python, dependency management with Poetry, the FastAPI framework, and async programming with Asyncio
-
Experience designing and developing Angular single-page web applications

Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx
-
Experience working with Node.js

Cloud experience with Azure
-
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability across distributed systems

Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
-
Proficiency with Docker
-
Knowledge of cloud fundamentals, preferably Azure, with AWS regarded as a plus
-
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
-
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with GitOps or ArgoCD regarded as a plus

Experience with Go (Golang) regarded as a plus

Good communication skills

Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
