As Head of Strategy & Planning for Argentina, you will shape the next phase of growth for one of Uber's most globally relevant markets. You will define the country strategy, influence regional priorities, and partner closely with senior cross-functional leaders to drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and marketplace innovation.
You will serve as a trusted thought partner to the Argentina General Manager and help align teams across Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Regional leadership around a clear strategic vision and execution plan.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategy: Define Argentina's country strategy and influence LatAm regional strategy. You'll be responsible for shaping the business strategy to achieve high levels of growth in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving environment while continuing to improve margins and operational efficiency.
- Thought Leadership: Partner closely with vertical leaders across Argentina to define strategic priorities, align country and regional vision, and identify new opportunities for growth. Serve as a key thought partner and strategic advisor to the Argentina General Manager.
- Own the Country Narrative: Craft and communicate a compelling vision for Argentina's business internally. You will articulate the market opportunity, strategic priorities, operational challenges, and investment needs to regional and global stakeholders to drive alignment and support.
- Program / Project Management: Lead and support high-impact strategic initiatives across the country and region. Act as a connective tissue across Operations, Finance, Growth, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams to accelerate execution.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational and structural opportunities to improve marketplace efficiency, planning processes, decision-making frameworks, and overall business performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with leaders across regional and global teams including Engineering, Product, Finance, Corporate Development, Marketing, and Operations to ensure strong collaboration and alignment.
- Lead by Example: Bring a high bar for strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and execution. Foster a culture of ownership, speed, creativity, and truth-seeking grounded in data and operational reality.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, strategy, operations, or related fields; experience in high-growth technology companies or startups strongly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities with experience improving forecasting, business planning, and decision-making processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex problems into actionable strategies.
- Strong storytelling and executive communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with fast-paced execution.
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership and ability to navigate ambiguity independently.
- Highly collaborative leadership style with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets / data analysis skills; SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
- Grit, resilience, and willingness to operate hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
