Business Development Representative (BDR)
Phoenix Water Solutions is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to support our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective clients, building and nurturing a strong sales pipeline, and creating qualified opportunities for the Sales team. Working closely with the Sales Manager and Sales Administration team, you will conduct market research, perform outbound outreach, maintain accurate CRM records, and contribute to achieving lead generation and business growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage prospective clients through inbound and outbound channels, including phone calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by targeting key industries, decision-makers, and business opportunities.
- Qualify leads by understanding client needs, project timelines, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Conduct consistent follow-up activities to nurture prospects and move them through the sales funnel.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate introductions between qualified prospects and Sales team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, activities, and opportunities within HubSpot CRM.
- Ensure CRM data integrity and support reporting requirements through timely documentation and updates.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to provide market feedback and improve lead generation strategies.
- Track and report on outreach performance, conversion metrics, pipeline activity, and progress toward sales goals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales process.
- Represent Phoenix Water Solutions with professionalism, accountability, respect, and a customer-focused approach.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in Business Development, Sales Development, Lead Generation, Inside Sales, Customer Engagement, or a related role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and engage decision-makers.
- Experience conducting outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify business opportunities and target markets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records; experience with HubSpot is highly preferred.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing responsibilities independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, lead qualification, or appointment setting.
- Familiarity with sales pipeline management and lead nurturing best practices.
- Experience working with remote teams and virtual communication tools.
- Knowledge of the water solutions, environmental services, construction, engineering, or related industries is an advantage but not required.
