About the role
Workwolf is a recruiting technology company on a mission to make hiring faster, smarter, and more transparent. We help employers source and screen candidates at scale through our proprietary ATS platform and Recruiting-as-a-Service (RaaS) delivery model — working with clients across Canada and the US in field sales, trades, and growth-stage industries.
We're looking for a Recruiting Manager to lead and develop our internal recruiting team. You'll own the day-to-day performance of our recruiters, shape how the team operates, and make sure we're consistently delivering quality candidates to the clients who depend on us. This is a player-coach role — you'll still carry a desk and work real requisitions, while also building the habits, systems, and culture that make your team excellent.
If you're someone who gets energy from both doing the work and making other people better at it, this role was designed for you.
What you'll own
Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters — setting clear expectations, providing consistent feedback, and holding a high performance bar
Run weekly team syncs, one-on-ones, and performance reviews to keep recruiters growing and engaged
Oversee the full-cycle recruiting process across active requisitions — reviewing pipelines, unblocking bottlenecks, and ensuring quality at every stage
Track and Own team-level metrics: # of candidates screened, submitted, moved forward, offer acceptance rate, time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, and recruiter productivity
Build and maintain recruiter playbooks, sourcing guides, and candidate outreach templates to improve consistency and scalability of the teams
Collaborate with the VP of Product & Operations on workforce planning, capacity, and process improvement
Partner with client-facing stakeholders for discovery/intake calls when needed — providing updates on delivery health and proactively flagging issues
Contribute to hiring and onboarding new recruiters as the team grows
What we're looking for
4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 years in a team lead, management or supervisory capacity
Proven ability to coach and develop recruiters — not just manage output, but grow people
Strong grasp of sourcing and pipeline management fundamentals across job boards, LinkedIn, and direct outreach
Experience recruiting for high-volume or field-based roles (sales, retail, trades, or similar) is a strong plus
Data-oriented — comfortable owning KPIs and making decisions from pipeline metrics
Strong written and spoken English is a must — you'll be communicating daily with Canadian and US clients and stakeholders
Experience with ATS platforms, CRMs, or recruiting automation tools (Workwolf, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.)
Nice to have
Background in an independent recruiting agency or RPO/RaaS environment
Experience managing recruiters across multiple clients or accounts simultaneously
Comfort with automation tools (Make, Zapier, or similar) used to scale sourcing and outreach
Familiarity with North American hiring markets — Canadian and/or US
What Workwolf offers
Fully remote
Competitive pay based on experience, plus team bonuses based on outstanding performance
Direct access to leadership and real impact on how the recruiting function grows
A lean, high-trust team that moves fast and values people who take ownership
The tools, autonomy, and context to do your best work without unnecessary process
