The Role
We are looking for the person who will take ownership of revenue growth. This is the first full-time hire on the commercial team, which means real autonomy to decide which channels to pursue, how to iterate on them, and how to allocate budget across them. The role reports directly to the CEO and co-founder.
This position combines strategy and hands-on execution. We are not looking for a CMO who delegates; we are looking for someone who builds the strategy, executes it, measures results, adjusts, and reports. You will have a monthly budget to invest in tools, freelancers, and campaigns, as well as authority to coordinate the current freelance team.
What You’ll Do
- B2B SMB Outbound: Build and execute the outbound engine (Apollo/Clay + LinkedIn + email), from list building to closing deals. Run demos together with our technical accountant.
- Outbound to CPA Partners: Start conversations with GovCon-focused CPAs to create new distribution channels (the founder closes the partnership).
- Webinars: Plan and execute a webinar series about DCAA compliance (3 webinars in 4 months), including promotion, registration, execution, and follow-up.
- Funnel & Conversion: Design and maintain the complete funnel (CRM, sequences, automations, reporting), iterating based on data.
- Freelancer Coordination: Manage SEO/content freelancers and others who join, ensuring their output aligns with the strategy.
- Commercial Strategy: Identify which channels scale and which do not, reallocating resources accordingly. Report weekly to the founder with clear metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in growth, B2B marketing, or sales at a B2B SaaS startup.
- Strong written and spoken English — demos, CPAs, and customers are all in English.
- Experience executing outbound campaigns: cold email, LinkedIn outreach, and sequences.
- Previous exposure to sales or the commercial cycle — not necessarily as a full-time AE, but experience booking and/or closing deals.
- Ownership mindset — comfortable making decisions with limited information and operating in ambiguity.
- Operational ability — comfortable editing email sequences, configuring a CRM, reading dashboards, and adjusting strategy based on data.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of vertical B2B SaaS (compliance, fintech, accounting tech).
- Experience running webinars or events as a demand generation channel.
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, or similar tools.
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based clients.
