Logistics Specialist focused on ensuring that the whole logistics operations and activities are running smoothly.
The Logistics Specialist manages transportation and logistics operations for goods and services, ensuring timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and compliance with international trade regulations. This role requires strong coordination with internal teams, external suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to guarantee smooth end-to-end logistics execution, while adapting to constant changes in processes, market conditions, and regulations.
This role covers logistics Southern Cone (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile).
As a Logistics experienced professional, you will be responsible for

Shipment tracking: Monitor and follow up on inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.

Freight forwarder coordination: Serve as the primary contact with freight forwarders to arrange transportation and resolve operational issues.

Customs broker liaison: Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure proper documentation, compliance with import/export regulations, and timely clearance of goods.

Logistics cost management: Control and optimize transportation and logistics costs to meet budget and operational plans.

Process improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in logistics methods, procedures, and processes to increase efficiency and reduce risks.

Internal communication: Work closely with colleagues and business units to align logistics solutions with operational needs.

Project participation: Contribute as a team member in logistics-related projects, typically with short-term and annual goals.

Documentation management: Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, invoices, customs declarations, and compliance records.

Issue resolution: Handle exceptions such as delays, damages, or customs holds, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.

Supplier and carrier management: Maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners (4PL and 3PL) to ensure service quality.

Inventory and warehouse coordination: Support warehouse operations by coordinating inbound and outbound flows, ensuring inventory accuracy.

Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will

Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in international trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Have at least 4 years of experience in logistics operations, customs brokers, international trade functions, international procurement.

Have strong communication skills (oral and written) to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Interpersonal and leadership abilities to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Independent work capability with proactive problem-solving.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and improve processes.

Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a strong plus.

Adaptability to manage uncertainty, regulatory changes, and evolving supply chain dynamics.

Skilled in Power BI: Ability to create dashboards and reports to analyze logistics KPIs and trends.

Skilled in SAP: Experience with SAP modules related to supply chain, inventory, and transportation management.

Excel experience: Advanced skills in spreadsheets, pivot tables, and data analysis for shipment tracking and cost control.
