- Manage the commercial and operational performance of the trade lane between Latin America and Asia, ensuring alignment with business goals and growth targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as shipment volume, revenue, and profitability, ensuring results are on track versus targets.
- Analyze market trends, capacity availability, and freight rate changes to adjust pricing strategies and maintain competitiveness.
- Develop and promote logistics solutions tailored to the Asia trade corridor.
- Support the sales team as a subject matter expert, providing market insights, pricing guidance, and technical expertise.
- Define pricing strategies and support quotations to ensure a balance between competitiveness and profitability.
- Participate in customer meetings and business reviews, providing insights on performance and future opportunities.
- Manage relationships with key customers, including addressing complex operational or service issues.
- Build strong relationships with shipping lines and internal global stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with teams across different countries to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
- Support procurement activities by collaborating on negotiations with carriers.
- Oversee the use of contracted space with carriers, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with commercial priorities.
- Monitor contract performance, including service levels and commitments, driving continuous improvement.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement action plans to expand the trade lane.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sea logistics, freight forwarding, or trade lane management.
- Solid understanding of international shipping, freight rates, and market dynamics.
- Experience in pricing, quoting, or commercial support within logistics.
- Ability to analyze data related to volume, revenue, and profitability and translate it into actions.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across countries or regions.
- Exposure to working with shipping lines or managing transport capacity is an advantage.
- Professional working proficiency in English (required).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution skills and attention to detail.
