JOB DESCRIPTION
As a KYC Associate within the Client Onboarding team, you will perform KYC and client documentation analysis to support the approval of new customers and amendments to existing ones. You will identify and apply regulatory requirements across jurisdictions and internal procedures, review legal and commercial documentation to understand client activity, structure, and risk, and execute AML policies.
Job Responsibilities

Perform KYC and client documentation analysis to support onboarding of new customers and amendments to existing ones, applying relevant regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Review legal and commercial documents to understand client activity, ownership/structure, and associated risks.

Execute AML policies and internal procedures in line with local and global standards.

Partner daily with Sales/Bankers (Front Office) to collect required documentation and clarify information requests.

Respond to business queries and provide guidance on onboarding requirements, status, and next steps.

Perform quality control checks to ensure onboarded clients meet applicable requirements and standards.

Track and follow up on pending client documentation by liaising with internal Lines of Business and stakeholders.

Conduct client searches and accurately communicate results and findings to relevant parties.

Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to reflect the latest process and control requirements.

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, Client Services, and regional/global onboarding teams to resolve issues and progress cases.

Prepare client-related data and reporting to support regulatory and internal requirements, including maintaining regional onboarding metrics.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

University degree (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar).

Fluency in English (written and verbal), with ability to communicate formally in English daily.

Experience working to deadlines on time-sensitive deliverables.

Experience in documentation management and handling document-driven workflows.

Relevant experience (over 5 years).

Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

Relevant experience (over 5 years) within a financial institution.

Experience leading or participating in special projects and process improvements.

Ability to organize workload, define priorities, and coordinate across team members.

People leadership experience (e.g., team lead/supervisor) or demonstrated mentoring/coordination responsibilities.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable providing clear status updates to internal stakeholders.

Highly organized, proactive, and motivated with strong prioritization, problem-solving, and control mindset; able to deliver timely, accurate support under pressure.

Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
