Your role at Clorox:
Join a dynamic global R&D team and play a key role in developing and optimizing cleaning products and utensils across the AMEA region, with a strong focus on Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for projects from concept through commercialization, partnering with global cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external manufacturers to deliver consumer-focused innovations, support business growth, and drive cost savings.
This position combines hands-on laboratory execution with data-driven decision-making, leveraging statistical tools, experimental design, and technical risk assessment methodologies to develop robust products, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure successful commercialization.
In this role, you will:
Represent one R&D voice balancing risk, impact, speed, and decision-making complexity
Lead the execution of projects from concept to launch by applying technical leadership and partnering with subject matter experts, cross-functional partners, suppliers and project managers.
Translate consumer needs into technical product specifications and processing standards.
Lead the design and execution of technical testing, including development of new test methods and qualification if needed.
Participate on claim storming sessions and develop technical support plans for product claims substantiation and build compelling product demos for customer sell-in.
Lead technical risk assessments and mitigation plans. Analyze and interpret data to drive technical understanding, meet project targets and objectives, problem solve, and make recommendations that drive efficiency, knowledge, and manage/elevate risk.
Develop and lead implementation of innovations with international manufacturers and technology partners including the Design and activation of manufacturing trials for new products. This can include traveling to external manufacturers (mostly located in Asia-Pacific region) and work with them closely to enable new product launch. Travel expected: 1- 2 times per year
Collaborate with Supply Chain and engineering teams to ensure consistent communication, successful start-ups, define any new capital requirement, influence future capabilities, and identify internal and external process improvements that deliver cost and/or efficiency savings and partner with QA and Regulatory team to ensure product compliance.
Establish and maintain strong technical organization through knowledge management and documentation following technical standards including specification system that ensure a successful tech transfer and commercialization readiness
Conduct competitive benchmarking and consumer-driven product assessment, Closely track external industry technology development and trends to incorporate into business growth plans.

What we look for:
2+ years’ experience in Multinational Companies of CPG related to home cleaning products, cleaning utensils, cosmetics, foods, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or related technical discipline.
Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
Technical problem-solving and experimentation: demonstrated ability to design, execute, and interpret laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to support product and process development.
Project management skills: proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Experience in consumer products, home care, cleaning products, wipes, cleaning utensils or adjacent FMCG categories.
Experience leading or supporting new product development (NPD), product upgrades, or cost savings initiatives.
Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and data visualization tools such as JMP, Minitab, or similar platforms.
Experience with predictive modeling, data science, AI-enabled product development tools, or digital R&D capabilities.
This role partners extensively with regional and global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. Candidates should be comfortable participating in meetings outside of standard business hours once to twice per week, typically between 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM Argentina time, to support collaboration with stakeholders in Australia, China, and other Asia-Pacific locations
