Are you passionate about transforming teaching and learning, and ready to influence education at scale?
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
We are looking for a Professional Learning & Development Consultant to join our Commercial team in Argentina. This is an exciting opportunity to combine pedagogical expertise with commercial insight, working closely with educators, institutions, and internal teams to support impactful learning solutions and drive growth across the region. This role will be based in Argentina but will have extensive coverage in Chile and some in Uruguay.
About the role
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the pedagogical direction of our learning and assessment projects. You will support both pre- and post-adoption activity by delivering high-quality professional development, offering expert consultancy, and enhancing the use and understanding of our products with customers and internal stakeholders.
You will work collaboratively with regional commercial teams to influence customer decisions, strengthen relationships, and contribute to sustainable business growth.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Designing and delivering engaging training sessions (face-to-face and online) for teachers and institutions
- Providing pedagogical consultancy to support customer needs and institutional goals
- Supporting sales processes with academic insights to help win and retain business
- Delivering product training to internal teams and partners
- Developing tailored learning solutions and programmes for key clients and tenders
- Conducting research on educational trends, competitor products, and pedagogical developments
- Participating in academic events, forums, and stakeholder meetings
- Contributing to reports, proposals, and internal documentation
This role requires regular collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders, along with flexibility to travel within the territory.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.
About You
You will bring proven experience delivering professional development, training, or consultancy within an educational or publishing environment, alongside a strong understanding of teaching and learning methodologies and pedagogical practice. You will be confident designing and delivering engaging presentations, workshops, and training sessions, both in person and online. A commercially aware approach is important, with the ability to support pre- and post-sales activity by working consultatively with customers to identify needs and provide effective learning solutions. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across a wide range of audiences, combined with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A high level of proficiency in Spanish and/or English (C2 level) is essential.
If you meet the above minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Your application will be even stronger if you can also demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in education, ELT, philology, journalism or a related field
- Recognised teaching or ELT qualifications, such as DELTA or equivalent
- Knowledge of Cambridge learning and assessment product ranges
- Experience developing bespoke learning programmes, tender content, or customer-specific solutions
