GBS Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting applications for the position of OT/PCN Software Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Organization, which is part of a multifunction service and technical center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.
The OT/PCN Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, automate, and enhancement of on-premises solutions across Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role focuses on automate applications such as Hardening & Compliance, Patching and Back-Ups, ensuring alignment with established cybersecurity guardrails. The engineer will lead deployment efforts across multiple Process Control Network (PCN) sites and provide ongoing technical support to local operations teams.
Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, deploy, automation tools in on-premises infrastructure by embedding secure‑by‑design principles into the design, implementation, and operation of all supported solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following team and enterprise standards. Identify opportunities to improve utilities, tooling, and developer experience

Support the deployment of new solutions and manage the lifecycle of existing systems.

Participate actively in Agile / Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives). Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with on-premises OT infrastructure
Technical Core Requirements

Experience in on-premises (preferred) or hybrid architecture tailored for OT systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs) or in industrial environments.

Strong experience in software development, daily use of Ansible for automation, with strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python, and working knowledge of Bash for Linux tasks.

Experience building APIs, services, or shared libraries. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

Solid experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux operating systems in secure, on-premises OT environments.
