This position serves as the day-to-day point-of-contact for multi-project accounts supporting digital products used in clinical trials (external and internal contact lead). The account executive oversees study-level project and financial management functions for assigned projects with limited management supervision, and assists manager with organic new business growth within existing accounts. The account executive works closely with sponsors, study teams, and cross-functional clinical, operational, product, and technology stakeholders to support successful implementation, adoption, and study delivery.
Client Management

Executes plan of action for delivering assigned projects with oversight from senior management

Serve as the day-to-day point-of-contact for assigned internal and external clients, including sponsors and study teams

Facilitate regular touch points with clients to develop relationships, communicate project status, and monitor satisfaction

Build trusted partnerships with clients, study teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners

Identify efficiencies and areas of improvement for account and project work

Escalate project risks, issues, and client concerns to senior management as appropriate
Project Management

Executes plan of action for delivering projects with oversight from senior management

Support project planning, implementation, onboarding, deployment, and day-to-day study-level delivery

Support demonstrations, solution reviews, and implementation planning for internal and external customers

Prepare metrics reports and support analysis of engagement and delivery data

Demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills with clients and internal team members

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and make decisions with little oversight from senior management
Financial Management

Executes plan of action for managing assigned project financials with oversight from senior management
Demonstrate superior organizational skills in the following areas:
Estimate and statement of work development for new projects
Communicating budget-related details to internal client
Demonstrate ability to analyze project utilization reports and identify areas that require scope and budget changes
Communicate potential scope or budget changes to senior management and support client discussions as appropriate
Business Development

Assist senior management with assigned proposal and new business presentation development for organic growth with existing clients

Support demonstrations and development of client-facing materials for new and existing business opportunities

Identify and communicate opportunities to improve or expand digital products and related service offerings
Business and Product Knowledge

Demonstrate understanding of the organization’s digital product capabilities and service offerings

Demonstrate strong knowledge of clinical research operations, clinical trial workflows, and the needs of sponsors and study teams

Demonstrate understanding of the regulated environment in which clinical trials operate and the importance of compliance with client requirements, technical specifications, and internal processes

Develop working knowledge of assigned studies, protocols, digital products, and implementation requirements

Translate digital product capabilities and technical information into practical value for client and study-team stakeholders
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
-
1-3 years relevant experience in clinical research, clinical trial operations, healthcare, digital product delivery, or a related field, with experience in project management, timeline development, and client management

Previous experience working with clinical trials and understanding how studies are planned, initiated, conducted, monitored, and supported
-
Understanding of clinical trial workflows and the needs of sponsors, study teams, and other clinical stakeholders

Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a clinical, healthcare, technology, or regulated environment
-
Proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms, including Wrike, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Salesforce, or comparable business systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
-
Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets, and client priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
