We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer who builds with conviction. Not someone who executes tickets, but someone who understands the problem space, shapes the solution, and owns the outcome end-to-end.
You'll work embedded with Product, which means you'll be in the room where requirements are formed, not handed a spec at the end. You understand what users need, you understand what the system can do, and you find the path between them.
This is an IC role. The growth path here leads to Staff, not management. We're investing in engineers who go deeper, not broader in headcount terms.
Ship end-to-end: Build, test, and release features in React Native across iOS and Android — from problem definition to production.
Partner with Product: Engage at the requirements stage, push back when a spec is incomplete or a flow is broken, and help decide what not to build.
Own app health: Take responsibility for performance, stability, and quality — crash rates, startup time, render performance, and release reliability are yours.
Build for money: Implement features with financial correctness in mind — idempotency, reconciliation, retries, and graceful failure states are non-negotiable.
Integrate cleanly: Consume backend services (REST/GraphQL), reason about service boundaries, and handle async, offline, and error states like a senior should.
Raise the bar: Set standards for code quality, testing, and the release process, and bring the rest of the mobile team up with you through reviews and pairing.
Use AI as leverage: Lean on AI tooling to ship faster and better — while owning the problem definition and the judgment calls. You don't outsource thinking.
5+ years of professional mobile development experience in React Native.
Product mindset: you engage with the "why" before touching the "how." You can spot when a requirement is incomplete, when a UX is broken at the spec level, and when the right answer is to do less.
Backend fluency: you don't need to be a backend engineer, but you need to understand how one thinks — REST, GraphQL, service boundaries, async patterns.
Fintech context: you understand what it means to build for financial products — reconciliation, idempotency, failure states, compliance constraints. You've worked in this space or are deeply curious about it.
Builder mentality: you adapt to what the product needs, not just what the ticket says. You're comfortable with ambiguity and know how to move forward anyway.
AI as execution leverage: you use AI tools to ship faster and better — but you own the problem definition and the judgment calls.
