Equity Capital Markets Support Team – Analyst
The Buenos Aires Equity Capital Markets team is part of J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking business providing support to bankers across the globe. This team is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will report directly into the firm's Global Equity Capital Market team based in New York (NY), providing support for IPOs and other equity transactions, preparing pitch books, financial updates, marketing and other support materials that senior client bankers provide to their clients during meetings and live transactions. Candidates should have an interest in and elementary knowledge of equity markets along with a strong work ethic. Excellent communication, attention to detail, proactivity and a self-motivated attitude will be critical to candidate success.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting industry and company research relevant to equity capital markets origination, including but not limited to IPOs, direct listings and follow-on offerings:

Gathering and maintaining statistics on issuers, industries and verticals, creating company profiles and case studies

Compiling shareholder data and running shareholder reports on a quarterly basis, along with researching and creating investor profiles

Creating equity sizing analysis and running historical precedent data within the equity markets

Maintaining and updating league tables and tombstones
The aforementioned activities may occur in connection with:

Preparation of pitch materials, roadshows and live transactions

Populating responses to an RFP (Request for a Proposal)

Assisting with compiling research materials and turning comments for internal presentations and memos
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
-
Bachelor's Degree required
-
Strong financial background to support senior banker origination and execution of new issue equities

Knowledge of macroeconomic principles
-
Beginner knowledge of global equity markets

Basic understanding of equity valuation
-
Microsoft Office experience including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required

Proactivity, self-motivation, team skills and positive attitude
