Description and Requirements

The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Consultant is responsible for supporting expense planning, reporting, and business decision-making within MetLife’s U.S. CFO organization, primarily for the Group Benefits business in the United States. This role plays a key part in enhancing financial insights and advancing reporting capabilities through analytics, automation, and technology.

The role offers high visibility exposure to executive reporting, as well as the chance to influence how finance delivers insight by building scalable, data-driven solutions and improving financial storytelling to support better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and continuous enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable expense insights
Create scalable reporting frameworks that support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making across the business
Oversee expense analysis processes, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending actions to improve business performance
Manage relationships with finance leaders and business partners to align on planning assumptions, reporting needs, and decision-support priorities
Develop automation and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and modernize FP&A processes
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to evaluate, test, and scale new tools, reporting capabilities, and process improvements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, applied to supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard design, data modeling, and development of scalable reporting solutions
Strong experience working with large data sets and reporting systems to deliver financial analysis and management reporting
Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to business stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

5–8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or related functions
Experience leveraging automation tools, Power Platform (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate), or AI-driven solutions to improve reporting and decision support
Demonstrated experience in process improvement and/or finance transformation initiatives
Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in high-visibility environments with senior stakeholders
