Fully remote - Argentina | Full-time | English-language role supporting U.S. clients
READ THIS FIRST. THERE ARE HARD REQUIREMENTS.
STEP ONE: Complete our application form at https://survey.focusinsite.com/zs/IUBBxr - Applying here on Indeed is not enough on its own. We review the form first. If you have not completed it, we will not review your application.
We screen on all of the items below BEFORE anyone gets an interview. If you cannot meet every one of them, please do not apply - you will not move forward.
- A 3-5 minute video in English. We review your video BEFORE we review your resume.
- A Speedtest result showing 100+ Mbps download (our preferred target). Run it at speedtest.net and send us the result link or number.
- A stable wired or fiber connection where available in your area.
- Backup internet - a mobile hotspot you can switch to immediately.
- A backup power strategy - UPS, inverter, generator, charged laptop plus hotspot, or a nearby location you can relocate to.
- A webcam and a quality headset.
- Ability to work roughly 8:00 or 9:00 AM to 5:00 or 6:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time. This is not a flexible-hours role. Our clients are in the United States.
- A short U.S. geography test that you answer yourself, without looking anything up.
We are not looking for the perfect resume. Someone in Medellin with fiber, a solid laptop, flawless English, a hotspot backup, and excellent judgment beats someone with a fancier CV and mediocre communication every single time.
THE ROLE
Focus Insite is looking for an exceptional Project Manager to lead complex qualitative research projects from kickoff through completion. This is a high-accountability role for someone who is organized, resourceful, intelligent, calm under pressure, and comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based clients.
We are not simply looking for someone with the right resume. We are looking for an A-player who can take ownership.
An MBA is preferred, but not required. Market research experience is helpful, but not required. Fluent professional English is absolutely required. Strong knowledge of U.S. geography is also required - many of our projects involve recruiting participants by U.S. state, region, market, city, or demographic geography.
THE MISSION
Own your projects from beginning to end and make sure clients never have to wonder what is happening.
A strong Project Manager does not simply report problems. They anticipate problems, develop solutions, communicate clearly, and keep the project moving.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (first 6-12 months)
- Independently manage multiple active research projects
- Understand complex recruiting requirements and manage quotas accurately
- Coordinate recruiters and support staff
- Identify recruiting problems early
- Communicate confidently with U.S.-based clients and produce professional written updates
- Maintain exceptionally accurate respondent trackers
- Manage deadlines without constant supervision
- Handle changes in project requirements calmly
- Determine what you should solve yourself and what requires escalation
- Use AI and technology to increase productivity
- Become someone clients and coworkers trust
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Ownership. When something is assigned to you, you take responsibility for the outcome. Nobody should regularly have to ask you: what happened with this?
Resourcefulness. You do not stop at I do not know. You investigate. You ask questions. You find options. You solve problems.
Excellent English communication. Fluent spoken and written English is required. You will be on Zoom with U.S.-based clients, writing professional emails, explaining problems clearly, communicating bad news professionally, and asking intelligent questions.
Strong knowledge of U.S. geography. You should be comfortable with U.S. states, major cities, time zones, and regions - Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, West Coast. You do not need to be American. You do need to be comfortable working in a business focused entirely on the United States.
Organization. You enjoy making complicated things organized. Spreadsheets do not scare you. Multiple deadlines do not overwhelm you.
Attention to detail. You notice things other people miss. A wrong age. A duplicate respondent. An incorrect quota. A missing field. A conflicting deadline.
Calm under pressure. Projects sometimes go wrong. Clients change requirements. People cancel. A good PM does not panic - they assess the situation and act.
Technology and AI. Excel, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, CRM systems, ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools. You do not need to know every system we use. You do need to learn technology quickly.

- Backup internet via mobile hotspot

COMPENSATION
Approximately COP 7,750,000 - 9,000,000 per month, which is roughly $30,000 - $35,000 USD per year at current exchange rates. Final pay depends on experience and capability. Additional performance-based compensation may be available. Exceptional performance can lead to increased responsibility, compensation, and advancement.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
- Step 1 - Application form, video, setup verification, and U.S. geography test at https://survey.focusinsite.com/zs/IUBBxr. We review these first.
- Step 2 - Resume review. Candidates with strong videos move forward.
- Step 3 - Short live interview. Your experience, accomplishments, failures, and career history.
- Step 4 - Practical Project Manager simulation. A realistic exercise that may include reviewing a sample research project, working with a spreadsheet, identifying errors, managing quotas, prioritizing tasks, responding to changing client requirements, writing a client email, using AI, and explaining your decisions.
- Step 5 - Final interview. We review your work together and challenge some of your decisions.
- Step 6 - Professional references. Final candidates should expect us to speak with previous supervisors.
- Step 7 - Offer. We move quickly when we find the right person.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Complete our application form: https://survey.focusinsite.com/zs/IUBBxr
2. Apply here on Indeed as well, so we can match your form to your resume. Use the same email address on both.
The form asks for a link to a 3-5 minute video answering the five questions below. You may record using Loom, Zoom, Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube unlisted, or any platform that lets us view the video through a link.
Please make sure we can access the link without requesting permission, your audio is clear, your face is visible, you speak in English, and you answer the questions yourself. You do not need professional production - we want to see and hear you. Please do not read a prepared AI-generated script word-for-word. We are evaluating your ability to communicate naturally and professionally.
VIDEO QUESTIONS - PLEASE ANSWER ALL FIVE
- 1. Introduce yourself. Tell us who you are, where you live, and why this position interests you.
- 2. Tell us about something difficult you have personally owned. A project, client, job responsibility, or problem where the outcome depended heavily on you. What happened? What did you personally do? What was the result?
- 3. Tell us about a time something went wrong. What happened? What responsibility did you take? What did you do to fix the situation?
- 4. Tell us how you prioritize. Imagine you have an upset client waiting for an answer, a project falling behind schedule, three people on your team asking for help, and a report due within two hours. Talk us through what you would do first and why.
- 5. Tell us how you use AI. Which AI tools do you currently use? Give us one specific example of how AI has made you more productive.
Applications without a completed form at https://survey.focusinsite.com/zs/IUBBxr will not be considered. We are looking for someone who demonstrates intelligence, ownership, communication skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to get things done. If you are that kind of person, we would like to hear from you.
