We need a unique Customer Account Manager who brings an intentional balance of deep empathy, firm assertion, and commercial acumen. You are the trusted ally our partners genuinely love talking to—someone who can comfortably say "no" with a smile and keep the contractor smiling back.
Crucially, you aren't just keeping clients happy; you are a growth consultant with a strong sales background who understands sales psychology. You can talk shop with roofing contractors, analyze why a deal fell through, and coach them to improve their close rates on the appointments we provide. You don't speak in stiff, robotic corporate jargon; instead, you talk with warmth, humor, and radical candor. Because you treat partners like true growth allies, you can seamlessly sell them on our internal growth methodologies and enforce our defined processes without ever sounding adversarial.

You are skilled at "consultative selling" to get partners to adopt our internal playbooks.
- Disarming Directness: You don't sugarcoat things in a fake, corporate way. You know how to use "soft power"—delivering tough news, selling a new approach, or denying a credit request with a firm, down-to-earth tone that maintains mutual respect.
- Firm, Liquid Boundaries: You don't bend the rules, but you flex your approach. You hold people accountable to defined processes by making them want to comply out of mutual respect, rather than out of fear of a penalty.
What You’ll Do
You will fully own the partner journey, blending authentic relationship-building with clear execution:
- Seamless Onboarding: Own the onboarding setup with zero back-and-forth, setting friendly but clear expectations from day one.
- High-Touch Relationship Management & Coaching: Call every assigned partner at least twice a month to monitor account health, build a trusted connection, and proactively coach them on sales psychology to improve their close rates on our appointments.
- Methodology Adoption: Effectively sell partners on our internal growth methodologies and operational playbooks, ensuring they adopt our processes to maximize their ROI.
- Accountability & Billing Defense: Monitor appointment quality and complaints. When partners challenge the system to avoid fees, you will investigate the facts, document the evidence, and firmly but tactfully decline unearned credit requests using objective evidence.
- Proactive Retention & Growth: Review churn trends, track health indicators (like Google reviews), and guide successful partners toward additional programs that can grow their business.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ Years of Experience in Sales or High-Touch Account Management: A background where sales psychology, commercial negotiation, and client relationship management intersected.
- Proven Commercial Background: You have a track record of closing deals or running accounts in fast-paced environments. Experience as a former commercial sales rep in home services/construction (who knows how to talk shop with contractors, has a thick skin, and understands that relationships are currency) or a relationship-first agency CSM who knows how to consultatively sell and retain high-value accounts is highly preferred.
- High EQ + Coaching Capability: You have an excellent ear for identifying process and sales gaps, and the confidence to guide and coach business owners without making them defensive.
- Data-Driven Mindset: You don't guess or argue—you research the facts, document everything, and use objective evidence to align with the partner.
- Tech-Savvy: Fast learner comfortable with tools like GoHighLevel (GHL), Monday, and Slack.
