We are seeking a Chief Business Consultant to provide hands-on production support for EIS Suite v12 within a business-critical insurance environment. You will partner with operations, customer service, engineering, QA, infrastructure teams, and external platform providers to resolve incidents, safeguard processing accuracy, and strengthen the reliability of policy administration and billing services
Responsibilities
-
Deliver second- and third-line functional assistance for production applications running on EIS Suite v12
-
Examine live-service incidents affecting policy administration, billing, renewals, enrolment, invoicing, collections, commission processing, and related insurance functions
-
Investigate reported behavior by recreating issues and determining whether the cause relates to configuration, rules, interfaces, data, or application code
-
Follow transactions across EIS components and integrated platforms to locate breakdowns and evaluate their impact on downstream processes
-
Inspect policyholder, policy, invoice, payment, customer, and transaction information through EIS tools and authorized database access
-
Check product setup, workflow definitions, business rules, reference values, scheduled jobs, and batch execution results for accuracy
-
Engage business users to clarify incident details, validate intended outcomes, measure operational consequences, and agree on resolutions or temporary alternatives
-
Prepare complete issue records that outline replication instructions, functional analysis, expected and observed results, affected operations, and acceptance conditions
-
Partner with software developers and technical support specialists to isolate defects and confirm the effectiveness of proposed corrections
-
Help determine defect urgency by considering customer experience, financial exposure, operational disruption, and compliance implications
-
Guide incidents through validation, business sign-off, release deployment, and post-release checks until service is fully restored
-
Test emergency patches, production corrections, configuration updates, and data remediation activities from a functional perspective
-
Contribute to root-cause investigations and propose safeguards involving system setup, operational controls, monitoring, and support practices
-
Detect repeating production problems and support initiatives focused on problem resolution and long-term service stabilization
-
Maintain support artifacts such as functional guides, diagnostic instructions, known-issue registers, operating procedures, and knowledge-base content
-
Take part in release preparedness assessments and identify production risks associated with upcoming changes
-
Assist with audit reviews, reconciliations, and data-quality investigations involving missing, duplicated, or inconsistent production records
-
Participate in the defined on-call and production-support rota when business needs require it
Requirements
-
7 or more years of relevant professional experience in business consulting, insurance systems, production support, or comparable roles
-
At least 2 years of experience leading teams, coordinating specialists, or managing delivery activities
-
Direct practical experience using EIS Suite, including version 12
-
Production support exposure to EIS PolicyCore, BillingCore, or both modules
-
Comprehensive knowledge of the policy lifecycle, covering quotation, issuance, amendments, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy termination
-
Strong understanding of insurance billing operations, including invoicing, premium collection, payment application, overdue balances, refunds, adjustments, reconciliation, and commission handling
-
Proven ability to assess complex live incidents and convert business-facing symptoms into clear functional and technical findings
-
Experience examining configuration settings, workflows, business logic, transactional records, integrations, and batch-processing outcomes
-
Ability to use SQL queries responsibly for production data investigation and controlled troubleshooting
-
Familiarity with incident, problem, change, and release-management practices in a production environment
-
Ability to produce detailed defect tickets, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and root-cause-analysis materials
-
