On behalf of Geraci LLP, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team remotely. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced professional environment and has hands-on experience with legal accounting systems and U.S. bookkeeping practices. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining the firm's financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall accounting function. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial information while working closely with leadership and external accounting professionals.
The successful candidate must have practical experience using Clio, QuickBooks, and Gusto, and possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles applicable to U.S. businesses.

Key Responsibilities
- General Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record and classify daily financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Review and monitor cash flow and account balances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare client invoices and assist with collections as needed.
- Reconcile client payments received through various platforms.
- Legal Accounting
- Utilize Clio to maintain billing records and financial information.
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff regarding billing matters.
- Ensure accuracy between Clio and QuickBooks records.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with legal accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Payroll Support
- Process and reconcile payroll through Gusto.
- Review payroll reports and ensure payroll expenses are accurately recorded.
- Coordinate employee reimbursements and payroll-related adjustments.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly bookkeeping reports and supporting schedules.
- Generate reports for management review.
- Assist external accountants with tax preparation and audit requests.
- Maintain organized electronic financial records and documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience using U.S. accounting practices at an American law firm.
- Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Clio
- QuickBooks
- Gusto
- Strong understanding of:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance
- Financial reporting
- Payroll accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Two professional references and a valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days are required for all successful applicants.
- Completion of intake paperwork, including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g., Social Security Number, Social Insurance Number, or the country’s equivalent), is required before onboarding.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a law firm or other professional services environment.
- Experience with multi-state payroll and accounting.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with trust accounting principles and legal billing practices.
Working Hours:
Full Time (40 hours per week)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific Time
Pay: $800+ $55 Allowance per month
